General Questions
-
The short answer—YES!
We tied the knot in a civil ceremony on the 20th of July, 2024 near our home in Boston. For very boring legal reasons, we would have also done this before we left for the UK in 2025—we just moved the timetable up a bit!
We were so fortunate to hold a (very) small ceremony with both of our parents in attendance. We're equally as elated to celebrate with all of you in London.
-
Well— you, of course. We want nothing more than to celebrate with all of the people who mean so much to us in a place that means so much for us.
-
The answer is quite simple. London specifically has a special place in both of our lives.
Todd spent time living in London for both undergraduate and graduate school. He absolutely loves this city. It's where most of his best friends live. If he could choose anywhere to live, it would be London.
As for Esther, ever since her first visit to London during her sophomore year in high school, she's fallen in love with the city. She once had a dream of moving to London after she graduated college...it has yet to happen.
Wedding Questions
-
We're so appreciative of each of you considering to travel to London to celebrate with us. We want to make sure there's enough time where we can spend catching up and partying with all of you.
A more specific itinerary will come in 2025, but the rough outline is thus:
1st September, 2025 - A welcome drinks get together. We'll then release you for dinner while we do our rehearsal—here is list of restaurants in the area to choose from. You're also free to travel back to London if you wish—the ceremony starts at 2:00PM the next day.
2nd September, 2025 - The wedding ceremony & reception!
-
Day 1: Cocktail attire, any colors or patterns of your choice. No suits needed!Day 2: Formal / black tie optional. We want you to use this opportunity to have everyone glam up and enjoy a day and night out! (as much as you can in rural England, anyway)
We—along with our wedding party—will be dressed in whites and blacks. We're asking all guests to refrain from wearing whites and blacks on day 2.
Any other colors and patterns are highly encouraged! (For those of you donning a suit, think navy, grey, ivory, tan, green, blue, etc.)
-
Due to limited space, we are only able to accomodate the guests stated on your Save the Date. If you have received a plus one, it will be stated on your Save the Date, as well as when you RSVP in 2025. Thank you for understanding!
-
We adore your little ones. However, we have decided to keep the wedding events oriented towards adults. That means food & drink, music, etc. will be not necessarily be kid-friendly.

Questions about London/The UK
-
No. If you are a US Citizen traveling to the UK, you do not need a visa to enter the country. However, in 2025, the UK instituted what is called an Electronic Travel Authorisation, or ETA. It is mandatory for all visitors to the UK.
The fee is £10 (~$12.50 USD) per person. The authorization lasts for 2 years, and you can enter the UK as many times as you’d like in that time.
-
Applying for an ETA to enter the UK is done online or through the UK ETA app.
For what it’s worth, the UK government website recommends to use their app, as taking a self portrait is part of the application process.
To apply, click on the link at the bottom of the page that says “Continue application online.”
